Structure Gaming’s Charisma +2 Girl Of The Month: Madeline Lee

Structure Gaming absolutely adores the ladies of Charisma +2, and this month, Madeline Lee is no exception. With a combination of beauty, brains, and a kick ass sense of humor this incredible woman is sure to catch your eye when she’s rocking her favorite cosplay outfits, and charm you the minute she flashes her gorgeous smile.

As a female geek, I’ll admit, I’ve always been skeptical and stereotypical about “booth babes”. I know, very judgemental of me. But, within the first five minutes of speaking with Madeline, I was blown away at how funny and intelligent she is. I’ve since then thrown out any misconceptions that I’ve previously had about the ladies in this line of work.

I sat down with Madeline to ask her some questions to get to know her better. Get ready to be blown away with awesomeness.

Nikki Wells: Tell our readers a little about yourself!

Madeline Lee: I grew up in England. I’ve lived all over the world, including the U.S. and Canada! I consider myself to be an international geek. Super Mario 64 first game that I ever got into, and it really pulled me down the rabbit hole of gaming and geekery. This, in turn, eventually led me to my interest in cosplay.

Nikki: So, how did you find out about C+2, and how long have you been with them? What drew you to the company?

Madeline: Funny story, actually! In April 2010, Yvonna Lynn put an ad on Craigslist looking for geek girls, and I happened to notice it. It was too tempting to not respond.

Nikki: Haha! That’s awesome! Who has been the biggest influence or support in your life?

Madeline: I’d have to say that credit goes to my best friends. They’re my convention buddies and they spend countless hours helping me with my cosplay outfits. They really are great people and I’m so thankful for them.

Nikki: How long has gaming and cosplay been an interest of your’s?

Madeline:
I’ve been gaming since I was a little girl, and I began attending conventions in 2005. I made my first costume when I realized that there was this whole big culture of cosplayers. It immediately sparked my interest.

Nikki: What’s one of your favorite memories or experiences when working an event? Which event was it?

Madeline: I’d have to say that my favorite event to work was PAX East 2012. Myself and three other girls dressed up as characters from the game Plants vs. Zombies. We had so much fun!

Nikki: What’s your favorite game of all time, and what’s one or some of your current favorites? Are there any future titles that you’re looking forward to?

Madeline: My absolute favorites right now are the Dance Central titles. It’s insane how far we’ve come in technology! We’re practically one step away from living in the Matrix. *laughs*

Nikki: What are some hobbies and interests outside of modeling and gaming (& cosplay) that you enjoy?

Madeline: All of my hobbies are kind of geek related, but I LOVE to travel. I’ve traveled to  Canada and I’ve been to Germany, seen castles and historical sites, and lots of other great scenery. I like to immerse myself in history and culture.

Nikki: What’s your absolute favorite character to cosplay as?

Madeline:  I loved being Bumblebee from Transformers. (See above photo.) It was an all-encompassing body suit, to say the least. Noone could tell my identity, and it made me feel very anonymous. The one costume I’ve to yet do, that I’d really like, would have to be Kasumi from Dead Or Alive. I really love fighter games. It’d be very mobile, great for summer, and it just looks good.

Nikki: At C+2′s website, www.CharismaPlus2.com, you have an awesome series of articles called “Budget Gamer”. Do you have any great money-saving tips for our readers?

Madeline: Be patient. Everything in the gaming industry starts out at a certain price. Consoles, games…everything. Don’t buy anything when it’s first released; wait for a price drop!

Nikki: What are some of the biggest challenges you face in your line of work?

Madeline: Simply to get work. I’m based in Boston, which is not considered to be the hub of gaming. I’m trying to change things and bring more attention to the gaming scene in northeast. The east coast really has a lot to offer.

Nikki: What are your future goals and what do you hope to achieve?

Madeline: Most of my goals revolve around the ‘geek’ world. I’d love to  get more work as a convention model; I’d love to be a NY Comicon model. I’d like to  improve on my cosplay and make more complex costumes. For my goals in the non-geek world, I’ll be finishing my masters degree in business administration this year.

Nikki: What are three unique, fun facts about you?

Madeline: I’m absolutely a World Cup fanatic, mostly because someone almost always gets headbutted. *chuckles* I’m left handed. Also, I  used to seriously be into sports. I was mostly  into archery and Taekwondo when I was younger.

Nikki: Thanks for taking the time to let us get to know you, Madeline! Do you have any parting words for our readers?

Madeline: Look for me at the conventions in 2013. Im going to rock ALL of the big New England conventions!

I am so proud to have Madeline on board with C+2. I truly do believe & know all the models at Charisma+2 are good looking (just different appeals but all gorgeous) … What I have always loved about Madeline was the intellectual & incredibly creative aspects she brings to the magazine ( http://Cplus2magazine.com ). I truly enjoy reading her pieces. I’m confident that she will be getting NYCC, Pax East gigs & anything in New England Because she has the understanding, patience, and industrious application to make things happen.

Thanks for this feature, Structure! We all love you guys and I even found out some things about her I didn’t know from here! Thanks for that too! Muah!
