It’s the Final Countdown! Virtua Fighter 5:Final Showdown Release Date

SEGA® of America Inc. and SEGA® Europe Ltd. Announced today that the console release date for Virtua Fighter™ 5: Final Showdown. The 3D fighting series makes its comeback as a downloadable title available for purchase June 5th for the for PlayStation®Network and June 6 for Xbox LIVE® Arcade. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will be priced at $14.99/ £9.99/ AUD$18.25/ €12.99 for PSN and 1,200 Microsoft Points for Xbox Live Arcade.
DLC will be launching side by side the title for all 19 fighters, with each character pack costing $4.99/ £3.59/ AUD$6.25/ €4.49 for PSN and 400 Microsoft Points for XBLA, and will contain 600-950 customization items for said character. Two additional bundle packs will be available, one containing 10 characters and the other 9, but will both be the same price.
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown is the latest arcade version of the Virtua Fighter series and an upgrade to VF5 such as with some of the other Super titles such as Super Street fighter IV or Ultimate Marvel. The title comes with two new characters—Virtua Fighter 3’s Taka-Arashi and a new character Jean Kujo— as well as new interactive arenas. Console-only features include a revamped Training Mode, eight players Online Room Match Mode, and a very promising match record feature to replay, save, and upload fights for YouTube props. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will bring overhauled fighting mechanics, and extreme depth for VF veterans as well as presenting itself as an interesting and fun 3D fighter for those new to the series.
